Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste


The Church of Saint Jean Baptiste of Mallefougasse is a Romanesque church located in Mallefougasse-Augès at the foot of the Lure Mountain in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. The Church of Saint Jean Baptiste is a church from the eleventh Century flanked by a tower from the start or the mid-twelfth century. It was a priory of the Benedictine abbey of Saint-André of Villeneuve-les-Avignon as the Church of Saint Donat de Montfort nearby. The church was restored in the seventeenth century. The church and the sacristy are the subject of a registration as a historic monument since October 14, 1997.
