Rose days in doué en anjou

Come chew your sense of smell thanks to the festival Les Journées de la Rose which takes place in the small town of Doué-en-Anjou since 1959. More than 7 million roses are cultivated in Doué la Fontaine especially for this event, this city is also known under the name of « city of roses ».

The greatest rose growers will be present at this event to make a presentation of their roses in a troglodyte gallery next to the Arena for the pleasure of the eyes.

You'll be captivated by the breathtaking scenery ; 100 000 roses cut the same morning will be presented in the midstof crystalline cascades, water jets anf fairy lights under the rock vault.

Local lanscapers will do their best to offer you beautiful English, French and even Japanese gardens that will extend for several hundred meters.
