Market concerts in charolles : aurélien delage

Although it is a magnificent specialists’ instrument, the Charolles organ is in no way intended only for an elite !   Since it was inaugurated in 2016, the Market Concerts have become a highly sought-after popular event.

Aurélien Delage is a high-profile organist, harpsichordist, and baroque flautist.
He is particularly fascinated by the Renaissance and baroque organ repertory and chooses the most beautiful organs in France for his recitals.  In 2004 he launched a project to build a Renaissanc-style organ in the Abbay church of Saint-Amant-de-Boixe :  this instrument, inaugurated in 2011, was built by a certain Quentin Blumenroeder, the builder of the Charolles organ.
